When entering the dining room, you will see a large secretary bookcase, built here in Louisiana. This bookcase was built specifically for Henry Bry, and was home to many important books still held in the castle today. This towering piece of furniture was built in a Creole style, only found in Louisiana. The design of the bookcase combines Bry’s birthplace of Switzerland as well as some popular American design points of the time.
